Third-party Tools

Third-party tools are external services you can connect to your Madra website to add functionality: analytics, advertising, newsletters, appointment booking, and much more.

Which tools can you integrate with a Madra site?

Your Madra website can accommodate most third-party tools that work through a JavaScript code snippet or tracking pixel. The Madra team handles the technical integration: you simply provide the code or tool identifier.

Here are the most commonly requested tool categories from our clients.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 allows you to measure your site's traffic: number of visitors, popular pages, traffic sources, and user behavior.

  • Free and sufficient for most professional websites
  • Real-time data to see who is visiting your site right now
  • Detailed reports on traffic sources (Google, social media, direct)

To learn more, see the dedicated Analytics page.

Facebook Pixel (Meta Pixel)

The Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel) is a tracking code that measures the effectiveness of your Facebook and Instagram ads. It tracks visitor actions after they click on one of your ads.

  • Conversion tracking — Know exactly how many visitors from your ads fill out a form or purchase a product.
  • Custom audiences — Create retargeting audiences to show your ads to people who have already visited your site.
  • Campaign optimization — Facebook uses pixel data to deliver your ads to people most likely to convert.

Newsletter and Mailchimp

A newsletter signup form allows you to collect your visitors' email addresses so you can send them regular updates, promotions, or tips.

  • Mailchimp — The most well-known newsletter platform. Free plan for up to 500 contacts. Intuitive email editor and automation features available.
  • Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) — A European alternative with a generous free plan (300 emails/day). Well suited for businesses concerned about GDPR compliance.
  • MailerLite — Simple and affordable, with a free plan for up to 1,000 subscribers. Modern and easy-to-use interface.

The signup form can be embedded directly in your site's footer or on a dedicated page.

Calendly and appointment booking

If your business relies on appointments (consultant, coach, therapist, lawyer), an online booking tool significantly simplifies appointment scheduling.

  • Calendly — The industry standard. Your clients choose an available slot in your calendar, and the appointment is automatically confirmed. Free plan available.
  • Cal.com — An open-source alternative to Calendly with similar features and a free plan.
  • Google Calendar — You can simply embed a Google Calendar booking link if you prefer a solution without an additional tool.

What other tools can you integrate?

Many other services are compatible with your Madra website.

  • Hotjar — Records your visitors' behavior with heatmaps and session recordings. Useful for understanding how people actually use your site.
  • Google Tag Manager — A tag manager that allows you to add and manage multiple tracking tools from a single interface, without modifying the site's code.
  • Customer reviews (Google, Trustpilot) — Embed a customer review widget to display client feedback directly on your site.
  • Video (YouTube, Vimeo) — Embed videos on your pages to showcase your services, products, or team.
  • Social media — Add Instagram feeds, Facebook feeds, or sharing buttons. Also see the Social media page.

How do you request an integration?

To add a third-party tool to your Madra website, the process is straightforward.

1

Create your account on the chosen tool

Sign up for the service you want to integrate and configure it according to your needs.

2

Get the integration code or identifier

Each tool provides a JavaScript snippet, pixel ID, or tracking identifier. Copy it from the tool's settings.

3

Contact Madra support

Send the code or identifier to Madra support, specifying the tool and which pages you want it active on (all pages or specific pages only).

4

Verify it works

After our team completes the integration, test that the tool is working correctly by visiting your site and checking the data in the tool's dashboard.

Info

Integrating third-party tools that collect personal data (analytics, pixels, chat) requires updating your privacy policy and cookie banner. Make sure to verify this to remain GDPR compliant.
