Products and Catalog

Your catalog is the heart of your online store. Each product has a complete listing with photos, description, price, and variants to provide the best shopping experience for your customers.

How do you add products to your store?

Adding products is done from your Madra dashboard. You can add products one by one or send a complete list to support for a bulk import.

1

Access the Products section

Log in to your dashboard and navigate to the "Products" section of your store.

2

Click "Add a product"

Fill in the information: title, description, price, images, and category. Each field is explained below.

3

Save and publish

Once the information is complete, save the product. It will appear immediately in your online catalog.

What information should you enter for each product?

Each product listing contains several fields that help your customers understand what you sell and make their purchase decision.

  • Product title — The name of your product as it will appear in the catalog and in search results. Be clear and descriptive.
  • Description — A detailed text presenting the product, its features, materials, dimensions, or any useful information for the buyer.
  • Price — The selling price in euros (tax included). You can also indicate a crossed-out price for promotions.
  • Images — One or more photos of your product. Use high-quality images, preferably on a neutral background. The recommended format is square (1:1) at a minimum of 800x800 pixels.
  • Category — The group the product belongs to (e.g., "Clothing", "Accessories", "Food"). Categories make it easier to navigate your store.
  • Weight and dimensions — Useful for calculating shipping costs if you sell physical products.
  • Reference (SKU) — A unique identifier for each product, useful for your internal management and inventory.

How do you organize products into categories?

Categories allow your customers to browse your store more easily. They appear in your store's menu and as filters on the catalog page.

  • Create logical categories — Group your products by type, use, or range. For example: "Tops", "Bottoms", "Accessories" for a clothing store.
  • Limit the number of categories — Too many categories complicate navigation. Aim for 3 to 8 main categories at most.
  • Subcategories — If your catalog is large, you can organize products into subcategories for finer classification.
  • Multi-category products — A single product can appear in multiple categories if it makes sense for your customers.

How do you manage variants (size, color)?

Variants allow you to offer the same product in different variations without creating a separate product listing for each one.

  • Size variants — S, M, L, XL, or any other sizing system suitable for your product.
  • Color variants — Red, blue, black, etc. Each color can have its own image.
  • Material variants — Cotton, linen, polyester, or any other differentiating criteria.
  • Price per variant — Each variant can have a different price if needed.
  • Stock per variant — Inventory is tracked independently for each variant.

How does inventory management work?

Madra includes a simple inventory management system that lets you track available quantities and avoid selling out-of-stock products.

  • Stock quantity — Set the number of available units for each product or variant.
  • Automatic deduction — Stock is automatically updated with each confirmed order.
  • Low stock alerts — Receive a notification when a product reaches a stock threshold that you define.
  • Out of stock — When stock reaches zero, the product is automatically marked as unavailable in your store.
  • Unlimited stock — For digital products or services, you can disable stock tracking.
