How to update your personal information and account preferences.
Your Madra account stores basic personal information used for login, billing, and communication. You can update this information at any time from your dashboard. Keeping your details up to date ensures smooth billing, reliable password recovery, and accurate invoices.
How do I change my email address?
Your email address is used to log in to your account, receive invoices, and get important notifications about your website. To change it:
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Go to the Personal information section.
- Click Edit next to your email address.
- Enter your new email address.
- Enter your current password to confirm the change.
- Click Save.
You will receive a confirmation email at your new address. Click the link in that email to verify the change. Until you verify, your old email address remains active.
How do I change my password?
It is a good practice to update your password periodically. To change it:
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Go to the Personal information section.
- Click Change password.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter your new password (at least 8 characters, with a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters).
- Confirm your new password by entering it again.
- Click Save.
Your new password takes effect immediately. You will need to use it the next time you log in. If you are logged in on other devices, you will be asked to log in again with the new password.
How do I change my name?
Your name appears on invoices and in your account profile. To update it:
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Go to the Personal information section.
- Click Edit next to your name.
- Enter your updated first and last name.
- Click Save.
The change is applied immediately. Future invoices will reflect your updated name. Previously issued invoices remain unchanged. If you need a past invoice to be reissued with a corrected name, contact support.
How do I delete my account?
If you want to permanently delete your Madra account and all associated data, you can request account deletion. This action is irreversible.
Before deleting your account, keep in mind:
- Your website will be taken offline immediately.
- All your data (site files, personal information, invoices, change requests) will be permanently deleted.
- Your subscription will be cancelled with no further charges.
- This action cannot be undone. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
To delete your account:
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Go to the Personal information section.
- Scroll down and click Delete my account.
- Read the confirmation message carefully.
- Enter your password to confirm.
- Click Permanently delete.
How does Madra protect my data?
Madra takes data protection seriously and complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Here is how your personal data is handled:
- What data is collected. Your name, email address, and payment information (processed by Stripe, not stored on Madra servers). We also store your website content, change requests, and support interactions.
- How data is used. Your data is used only to provide the Madra service: building your website, processing payments, sending important notifications, and providing support.
- Data sharing. Madra does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with essential service providers (Stripe for payments, hosting infrastructure).
- Data access. You can request a copy of all personal data Madra holds about you at any time by contacting hello@madra.io.
- Data deletion. You can request deletion of your data at any time by deleting your account (see above) or by contacting support.
- Security measures. All data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and payment data is handled by PCI-compliant Stripe infrastructure.
